Hiro — Cognitive Maintainer (Power User)

Background

Hiro is 58 years old and teaches high school history. He started using Cognitive Stories as a proactive measure after his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He is intellectually curious and slightly competitive with himself — he tracks his fact-type breakdowns carefully and treats each session like a mini exam.

He subscribed to Plus on his third day because he wanted the analytics immediately. He uses the app on Android.

Goals

  • Proactively maintain cognitive health through regular, measurable practice
  • Understand his performance patterns by fact type and time of day
  • Stay on Hard difficulty and track whether he can improve his weakest areas (sequences)

How He Uses the App

Hiro has completed 46 sessions over about two and a half months, exercising most weekday mornings. He operates on Hard difficulty — stories with 12–15 facts — and averages 68% accuracy.

His Advanced Analytics show a clear pattern: strongest on details (82% average) and names (79% average); weakest on sequences (51% average). Time-of-day analysis shows he performs 12% better in morning sessions compared to evening.

The adaptive difficulty engine has suggested he drop to Medium twice — he declined both times. He is working on improving his sequence recall rather than making the exercise easier.

Tier

Plus (subscribed from day 3). Android.
