How to Save Reminders from the Discover Library
Jing, a computer science senior, browses the Motivation and Productivity sections of the Discover tab after finals and saves 5 quotes to her collection in under 3 minutes. They immediately join her notification rotation.
Steps
-
Go to the Discover tab (second tab in the bottom navigation).
-
Browse by category — category chips or tabs appear at the top. Tap any category to filter: Stoicism, Productivity, Gratitude, Mindfulness, Motivation, Relationships, Health, Creativity.
-
Read items — each item shows the full quote or principle, the attribution/source, and the category.
-
Save items you like — tap "Save to My Reminders" on any item. The button toggles to a saved state with a visual confirmation.
-
Un-save if needed — tap the saved toggle again to remove the item from your collection.
-
Switch categories — tap another category chip. Your scroll position in each category is maintained when you return.
-
Verify your saves — go to the My Reminders tab. All saved items appear with a "Curated" source label, distinct from reminders you created yourself.
Expected Outcome
- Each saved item appears in My Reminders under the category it was tagged with in the Discover library
- Items already saved show a visual indicator when you're browsing Discover (so you don't accidentally save duplicates)
- All saved items immediately join your notification rotation
The Discover Library
The Discover tab contains 100+ editorially curated quotes across 6+ categories at launch. Content is stored locally with the app (no network required to browse) and updates over time via the app's remote database when new content is added.
Tips
- Jing's approach: she browses during a free moment (waiting for class, riding the bus) and saves anything that resonates. She doesn't overthink it — saving is free and she can always remove items later.
- Saved Discover items have the same full reminder functionality as personal reminders: you can edit their category, change their schedule type, write journal reflections about them, and share them to the Community.
