How to See Your Routine-Sleep Quality Correlation Insight

Who this is for: Anyone who has been logging sleep and completing a routine for at least 7 days and wants to know whether the routine is helping.

Jin, a retired chemistry teacher whose doctor told him to improve his sleep, treats his evening routine like a lab protocol. After restarting the app following a two-month break, he has a week of new logs and wants data to confirm his disciplined approach is working.

Steps

  1. Ensure you have at least 7 days of sleep logs and at least some routine completion history. Insights require a minimum data threshold before appearing.
  2. Navigate to the Home tab. If a routine-correlation insight is ready, it appears as a card on the Home tab.
  3. Tap the insight card. The detail view shows a side-by-side comparison:
    • Your average sleep duration and quality on days you completed your routine
    • Your average sleep duration and quality on days you did not
    • Example: "Routine days: 6h 48m, quality 3.7 — Non-routine days: 6h 20m, quality 3.1"
  4. Read the observation. The insight is labeled "Based on your sleep data — not medical advice."

Expected Outcome

You can see a data-driven comparison showing whether completing your routine correlates with longer duration or higher quality sleep. This insight updates weekly as your data grows.

Notes

  • The routine correlation insight is a basic insight available to all tiers (Free through Plus).
  • Extended weekly summaries (including personalized insight narratives and recommended tips) require a Plus subscription.
  • If you have fewer than 7 days of data, insight cards won't appear yet — the app needs enough data to detect meaningful patterns.
  • Insights are observations, not medical diagnoses or prescriptions. They describe correlations in your personal data.
