How to Complete the Guided Walkthrough

Dolores, a retired music teacher who's been writing folk songs in her head for decades, reads every screen twice on her first launch. This walkthrough is designed for her and for anyone who wants to understand the app's core concept before diving in.

When This Applies

This is the first thing you see when you open the app for the first time. You only see it once — it does not reappear after you complete or skip it.

Steps

  1. Open the app — an anonymous session is created silently in the background. You don't need to sign in or create an account.

  2. Read screen 1 — the walkthrough introduces the core concept: successful musicians follow repeatable processes, and this app helps you define and follow yours.

  3. Read screen 2 — explains how processes work: you create a workflow with named stages, and each song or album moves through those stages.

  4. Read screen 3 — explains item tracking: you add your songs and albums to a process and move them through stages as you complete each phase of your work.

  5. Read screen 4 — explains progress levels: the app tracks your process maturity through five levels (Getting Started → Building Habits → Tracking → Analyzing → Mastering) so you can see concrete evidence of growth.

  6. Tap "Get Started" on the final screen — you land on the Dashboard tab showing an empty welcome state with a "Create Your First Process" button.

Skip Option

Every walkthrough screen has a "Skip" button. Tapping it on any screen takes you directly to the Dashboard. The walkthrough does not reappear on subsequent visits or after app restarts.

Expected Outcome

After completing the walkthrough:

  • You're on the Dashboard tab
  • An empty state shows a "Create Your First Process" call-to-action
  • All four navigation tabs (Dashboard, Processes, Tracking, Profile) are visible and functional
  • Relaunching the app does not show the walkthrough again

Next Step

Tap "Create Your First Process" to import a pre-built template or build your own workflow from scratch. See How to Import a Process Template or How to Create a Custom Process.
