How to Explore the Whereline Map

Who this is for: Anyone who wants to see where their memories happened on a map.

Carlos wants to see all his travel memories plotted geographically across South America, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

Steps

  1. Tap the "Whereline" tile on the dashboard.
  2. See your world map. Pins appear at every location linked to your memories.
  3. Pan the map by dragging with one finger.
  4. Zoom in and out by pinching two fingers or double-tapping an area.
  5. Tap a pin to see a preview popup showing the place name and a snippet of a linked memory.
  6. Tap the popup to open the full memory detail.
  7. Tap "Back" to return to the map.

Expected Outcome

You can explore all your location-linked memories geographically. Pins cluster when zoomed out; they separate as you zoom in. Each pin opens the memory (or the first of several memories) associated with that place.

Tips

  • Only memories linked to a place via the whereish picker appear on the Whereline. Typed location text in the memory body does not generate a pin.
  • If a place has multiple linked memories, the popup shows the most recent one. Open the place's detail from the popup to see all linked memories.
  • The Whereline is a great way to notice patterns — you can see your life's geography at a glance.
