How to Export a PDF Memory Book
Who this is for: Plus or Pro subscribers who want a formatted document of their memories.
Dorothy creates a PDF memory book every year as a Christmas gift for her family. This year she's exporting "The Early Years" journey as a formatted book.
Steps
- Tap the "Export" tile on the dashboard.
- Select "PDF" as the format. (If you're on Free, you'll see the Plus upgrade screen. See Upgrade to Plus.)
- Choose scope:
- "All Memories" — exports your complete archive.
- "By Journey" — select a specific journey (e.g., "The Early Years").
- Select a layout (if prompted): "Book-style" produces a title page, table of contents, and one formatted page per memory.
- Tap "Generate PDF." Memoryish builds the document. Large archives may take a few seconds.
- Tap "Share" or "Save to Files" when complete. The PDF can be sent by email, printed, or saved to any cloud service.
Expected Outcome
A formatted PDF with:
- Title page — your archive name (or journey title) and export date
- Table of contents — linking to each memory
- Memory pages — one per memory, with title, date, location, body text, and linked entity names
- Semantic structure — headings and paragraphs preserved for accessibility and screen readers
Tips
- PDF export respects the standard system font size, not your in-app font scale.
- For a journey-scoped PDF, make sure all the memories you want are added to the journey first. See Create a Journey.
- Print-quality output works well for A4 or Letter paper.
