How to Sign In for the First Time

Who this is for: Anyone launching Memoryish for the first time.

James downloaded Memoryish after his therapist suggested he start recording memories. He's never used the app before and wants to get to the main screen.

Steps

1. Open Memoryish. The splash screen appears briefly while the app initializes.
2. Tap "Sign In." The Keycloak login screen opens.
3. Enter your email and password. If you don't have an account yet, tap "Create Account" to register — it's free.
4. Tap "Sign In." The app authenticates your session and returns you to Memoryish.
5. Complete the onboarding steps (language, theme, interests) if this is your first time. See Guided Onboarding for details.
6. Arrive at your dashboard. Twelve feature tiles are visible and tappable immediately.

Expected Outcome

You land on the dashboard, greeted by your display name. All twelve tiles — Prompt Me, People, Places, Things, Tags, Journeys, Memories, Timeline, Whereline, Categories, Export, and Prompts — are accessible from the start.

Tips

• Your session stays active across app restarts. You won't need to sign in again unless you explicitly sign out or your session expires after a long period of inactivity.
• If sign-in fails, check your internet connection — authentication requires network access.
• If you forgot your password, tap "Forgot password?" on the login screen.
